Nick Minieri (BOS)

Graphic artist by day and music addict by night, Nick Minieri is not one to shy away from weaving both the visual and aural sides of the spectrum as tight as possible in any work he touches. Minieri’s formative days saw him DJ’ing hip hop and drum and bass before turning the lens away from himself to spend several years documenting the underground scene in Boston. He ran a popular local blog called Beantown Boogiedown and was often seen with a camera photographing events around town, as well as designing fliers and logos for others. Since 2014 Minieri has been focusing on music production, drawing on two decades of record collecting and the thousands of events attended in that span to craft a no-nonsense house and techno aesthetic. Minieri’s debut album “Swatchbook” was released in May 2018 and also has work on labels including Soul Clap Records, Nerang, Sub Society, Covery and Teknofonic. He also releases and blogs about the work of others on his own label, Zakim Recordings. If anything has contributed to Minieri’s longevity, it’s his passion for music and eagerness to constantly re-invent himself as needed.

"The core notion of the festival … isn’t just to provide a good time, but to illustrate the fertile mix of art and technology intrinsic to current-day Boston."

"The sixth edition of Together ... was a reminder of how much Boston still has to offer for the tribes of dance music fans who live here ... Despite its size, Together pulled off an impressive range of sounds from across the electronic spectrum."
