While #tgthr7 got off to a fast start Sunday night with two killer parties at The Sinclair and ZuZu, yesterday was our first full day of programming; naturally the energy and momentum carried over for another great day of music. While the Mmmmaven Recharge Lounge opened its doors for the first time at 4 P.M., Together HQ also hosted its first daytime event a little later that evening with the America & The Netherlands: A History of Dance Music talk. A conversation between the author of DUTCH DANCE Mark Van Bergen, Bob Diesel, and our own David Day the chat revolved around the history and origins of dance music both in the Netherlands and here in the US as well!

Directly after the talk we opened up the Middlesex Lounge for the first time for our annual collaboration with Dutch Culture USA. This time we brought the Dutch collective Dekmantel to town, where Juju and Jordash and Fatima Yamaha each played equally revelatory live sets, while Palms Trax opened and closed out with some skillful DJ work. Plus, check out what was going on on the ceiling!

Right down Mass Ave at the Middle East Corner, local promoters Lysten Boston also put on a Together showcase that featured some local and out-of-town electro-pop talent. Boston’s Anda Volley and Jenova 7 opened and closed the set with some expansive sounds, while New York’s Aarhus pop-driven tunes shined and impressed as well.

Elsewhere in the city, Downtown Boston’s Good Life Bar hosted Mass Art’s Beat Research Spring 2016 Showcase, while Create Together @ Danger!Awesome hosted a cool workshop with ebb + flow, a New York City based production crew based on the Triune, a special light fixture specially installed at Middlesex Lounge for Together called Orbiting the Lumen Octangula!

Tonight promises to be just as crazy, with Table Manners hosting a scratch lesson taught by Lady Spindrift, a Danger!Awesome workshop on controlling visuals, The Black Madonna and DJ Minx at the Middlesex, and NAAFI Crew at Phoenix Landing, with Lao and Mexican Jihad!
