Yesterday marked the beginning of the final stretch for #tgthr7. With the weekend comes more and more opportunities to get involved; between the daytime tech talks and multitude of parties going off in Cambridge and Boston proper, Together always comes into its own during its final three days. Friday brought five (!) parties to the table last night ranging from our Resident Advisor showcase at the Middle East Downstairs feat. Jon Hopkins and Kink to Cycle’s two year anniversary party at Good Life with CRISSY CRISS!

But first we kicked off the night with two special Ableton product meetups at the Recharge Lounge! Ableton’s Ben Casey came down to Together HQ to give demonstrations on some of their newest productions, Live Link and Push:

Also on our daytime itinerary was a showcase of animatronic sculpture technology at Create Together @ Danger!Awesome called The Plastic Man:

The music got going at the Middle East right at 8 pm when Community Links’ Matt and Molly kicked off our Resident Advisor showcase. After great opening sets from them and Mmmmaven‘s own Wingzen, our featured artists Jon Hopkins and KiNK set to leveling the soundsystem with two equally massive, swelling, and sweaty live sets. HUGE.

Also featured at the Middle East complex last night were The Boston Hassle’s SCANNERS night with their residents and New York’s Shawn O’Sullivan.

As well as Cultures of Soul‘s annual and much beloved Together collaboration, this year at Zuzu!

Further down Storrow Drive in Downtown Boston we also threw two other party collaborations with local promoters. Ascend Boston hosted Project Mixx’s Together night with Germany’s Steve Bug, while Good Life held Cycle’s two year anniversary with a bass-y set from the UK’s CRISSY CRISS.

Tonight #tgthr7 rolls on strong with Dancing On the Charles’ opening day party, a tech meetup with Novation and the 7th annual Together Record Fair, and the lethal triple bill of Matthew Dear, Axel Bowman, and J.Phlip at the Middle East Downstairs, among many other options. See you there!

"The core notion of the festival … isn’t just to provide a good time, but to illustrate the fertile mix of art and technology intrinsic to current-day Boston."

"The sixth edition of Together ... was a reminder of how much Boston still has to offer for the tribes of dance music fans who live here ... Despite its size, Together pulled off an impressive range of sounds from across the electronic spectrum."
