On March 6th, Together will present Austrian downtempo pioneers Tosca live at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. The core duo of musicians/composers Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber will be joined by Robert Gallagher and Cath Coffey on vocals for the performance, as well as visuals from the Ars Electronica Future Lab.
Tosca has been an active project since 1994, with a total of six studio albums and seven remix collections to its name. Dorfmeister and Huber’s latest creation, Odeon, was released in February of last year. The record is described by its creators as a darker take on the downtempo and trip-hop sounds they are known for; a collection of “moodier ambient tracks and then some songs with downbeat bluesy feel,” according to Huber.
Tosca’s live performances have taken them around the world, from the Ars Electronica Festival in their native Austria to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California. March 6th will be your chance to catch them right here in Boston. Tickets for their Paradise Rock Club show are on sale now.
